Password Generator
Generate strong random passwords with your own length and character rules.
Turn a link, text, phone number or email into a QR code.
QR Code Generator encodes whatever you give it into a square barcode that any phone camera can read. Choose what kind of content you are encoding and the tool builds the correct underlying format: a plain URL, free text, a phone number that dials when tapped, a pre-filled SMS, an email with subject and body, or WiFi credentials that join a network without typing a password.
The code is generated entirely in your browser. Many QR services route your content through their servers and hand back a hosted image, which means the link can be tracked, changed or switched off later. Here the image is produced locally and downloaded straight to your device, so nothing about what you encode is known to anyone else and the code works forever.
You can set the error correction level, which controls how much of the code can be damaged or covered while still scanning. Higher levels make the pattern denser but let the code survive a printed logo, a crease or poor lighting. Download as a PNG for most uses, or as an SVG when the code needs to scale to a poster without going blurry.
The qr code generator is used by writers, developers, students, marketers and anyone else who needs the job done once without installing software. Common cases include:
No. The code encodes your content directly, so there is no redirect service that could be shut down or start charging. Once downloaded, the image keeps working for as long as the destination it points to exists.
Level M is a good default for screens and clean printing. Choose Q or H when the code will be printed small, placed on a curved surface, or partly covered by a logo, since those levels can lose more of the pattern and still scan.
Dense patterns mean a lot of data. Long URLs with tracking parameters are the usual cause. Shortening the link produces a simpler code that scans faster and more reliably from a distance.
A rough guide is that the code should be about one tenth of the distance it will be scanned from. A code read from two metres away wants to be around twenty centimetres across. Always leave the pale margin around it intact.
Yes, but keep strong contrast between foreground and background, and keep the foreground darker than the background. Inverted or low-contrast codes fail on many scanners.
No. The QR matrix is calculated in JavaScript in your browser and drawn to a canvas. Nothing about what you encode leaves your device.
