About FreeToolsWorld

A free collection of browser-based utilities for text, code, colours, images and everyday calculations.

FreeToolsWorld provides simple browser-based tools for everyday tasks, including text processing, calculations, developer utilities, image optimisation and conversions. There are 136 of them, each on its own page, each free to use without an account.

What we build

The collection covers seven areas: text tools for counting, cleaning and reordering writing; developer tools for JSON, URLs and timestamps; calculators for percentages, money and dates; colour tools for picking and converting values; encoding tools for Base64, URL and HTML; image tools for compression; and a few general utilities such as a password generator and a QR code generator.

How the tools work

Almost every tool here runs as JavaScript inside your own browser tab. When you paste text into the word counter, compress a photo or generate a QR code, the work happens on your device and the data is never transmitted to us. That is a design decision rather than a marketing line: tools that do not need a server are faster, work on a poor connection, and remove any question about what happens to your data. Our privacy policy sets out the detail.

What we care about

  • Speed. Pages are built as plain HTML, CSS and vanilla JavaScript, with no framework and no web font downloads. Most tools respond as you type.
  • Clarity. Each tool does one job, explains what it does, and tells you plainly when something has gone wrong instead of showing a raw error.
  • Accessibility. Every control has a label, the whole site can be operated from the keyboard, focus states are visible, and both the light and dark themes meet contrast guidance.
  • Honesty about limits. The BMI calculator is not medical advice and the loan and interest calculators are not financial advice. Where a tool has limits, the page says so.

What we do not do

We do not ask for an email address, we do not require registration, and we do not claim that every tool is private when some could not be. We also avoid the exaggerated claims common in this category. These are useful utilities, built carefully; they are not magic.

Suggestions

If a tool you need is missing, or one of ours gets something wrong, tell us through the contact page. Reports of incorrect results are especially welcome and get looked at first. You can also browse the full tool directory to see what already exists.
